A Fearful Patchwork

by Brian Jones

Added 13 October 1997

Simple cloth clinging
to easy meditations.
The patchwork robe drapes
the form of the fearful
clutching his very skull
to the soul beating in his breast.

Such amazement on his face
as if to acknowledge the desertion.
