This is a section where I post poems sent to me by people who have found my site and wish to display their own works. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

This poem is by Aaron J. Balko

Climbing (1993)

The forest alone
willingly yields up concealment
on bright Autumn days.
A tree there (in fact)
can lift you – should
a climb be chosen.
High up in the boughs, a little
closer to sun and blue sky,
you may view the world:
the countryside spread
out below,
and see the place where you live
your life a little differently.
