This is a section where I post poems sent to me by people who have found my site and wish to display their own works. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

This poem is by Olga Topchaya

A Plea to Adjourn

O let me not lie
till the word has been broken
O let me not sigh
till my wounded heart has spoken

O let me not fall
till the streets I have walked
O let me not call
till I am ready to talk

O let me not wake
     till I have dreamt
O let me not take
till I know for what 'tis meant

O let me not shed a tear
till my eyes have borne witness
O let me not despair
till I no longer feel the caress

O let me not abhor
     till I have loved
O let me not wage a war
     till I have been shoved

O let me not surrender
     till I cannot feel
O let me not hopeless be rendered
till I have fastened the final seal

O let me not flee
     till the torches have burned
O let me not cease to be
till I have seen, felt and learned.
